Brail Construction and Foreign Partners Visit Ondo State Governor on Infrastructure Collaboration
In a significant move towards accelerating infrastructural development in Ondo State, the Chairman of Brail Construction Limited, Engr. (Dr.) Babatunde Lawal led a high-level delegation—including foreign partners—on a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
The strategic meeting, held at the Governor’s Office in Akure, centred on collaborative efforts to tackle key infrastructural challenges in the state, with particular focus on road construction and coastal site development in vulnerable, erosion-prone communities.
Addressing Infrastructure Gaps in Coastal Communities
Engr. (Dr.) Babatunde Lawal expressed Brail Construction’s commitment to working with the Ondo State Government in delivering sustainable and people-focused infrastructure. He emphasized the urgency of interventions in coastal regions severely affected by erosion, flooding, and infrastructure decay.
“Many coastal communities in Ondo State face immense challenges due to environmental degradation and poor access roads. Our goal, in collaboration with our international partners, is to provide long-lasting, climate-resilient solutions that support both mobility and economic growth,” Dr. Lawal stated.
The delegation highlighted the need for immediate action in ravaged communities such as Aiyetoro, where years of coastline erosion have displaced residents and damaged critical infrastructure.
Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships
Governor Aiyedatiwa welcomed the delegation warmly and affirmed the State Government’s readiness to collaborate with reputable local and international partners to fast-track development. He praised Brail Construction’s proactive approach and encouraged the delegation to explore innovative, cost-effective models that ensure long-term community benefit.
“Ondo State is open for strategic partnerships that bring value to our people. We commend Brail Construction for its vision and welcome the expertise of its foreign partners in solving pressing infrastructural needs,” the Governor remarked.
Looking Ahead
The visit sets the stage for detailed assessments and feasibility studies across identified regions in the state. Brail Construction and its partners are expected to submit technical proposals outlining their plans for phased road upgrades, coastal fortifications, and engineering interventions tailored to the local terrain.
This visit reinforces Brail Construction’s growing role as a development-focused construction company committed to shaping resilient communities across Nigeria through infrastructure that works for everyone.
